 The Bolivar was re-blended and re-released in 2005 with a new and improved full-bodied and full-flavored blend. Like its flavor, the brand itself has a very rich history. Bolivar cigars got their start in Cuba at the turn of the 20th century. Since day one on the market they have been highly sought after and recognized as a fine premium cigar.
The new 2005 blend is hand rolled in the Dominican Republic and was crafted in an effort to recapture the original Cuban blend, which in 1901 was full-bodied and very robust.
Bolivar is the bold cigar that pays tribute to Simon Bolivar, the great liberator who led the wars of independence in the nations we know today as Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

These aged Bolivar cigars are some of the oldest cigars in our Aging Room. They are perfectly balanced and after nearly 15 years, truly one of a kind!
Bolivars from 1994 are about as old as they come. That year marked a near beginning for the brand which was previously only available from Cuba. When the brand moved to the Dominican Republic, cigar makers was intent in honoring its Cuban heritage with a more mild, yet equally flavorful Non-Cuban version. |
